Christian Love Has Options

What other explanation could it be,
Than the will of Him who made earth and sea?
To create two parties and fate their action,
And thereby lose the wise man's traction.

Could He not settle me in romance ripe?
By no means! un-contexted tripe!
His reason was not to couple the cute,
But join believers, quarrels refute.

Even the faithful who pair up in love,
May be reduced to a push and a shove.
As the Apostle wrote, as the father had planned,
Love has a time and options at hand.
